Hufflepuff's common room is behind a still-life portrait of a bowl of fruit, found near the kitchens. A password is required to enter, and upon giving the password, the portrait swings open to reveal a staircase that leads down to the Hufflepuff commons. The Hufflepuff basement is a bright, warm environment with fat armchairs, a bulletin board, many tunnels and round doorways.
