A massive stadium with three goalposts at each end, house changing rooms on each side and stands that put spectators on the same height as the majority of the action. The stands are charmed so that no spectators can fall, but the enchantment doesn't protect against rogue bludgers or out of control quidditch players.

At the top of Hogwarts' west tower is the Owlery. The circular stone room is very cold and drafty, due to the lack of glass in the windows. The floor is covered with leftover straw, owl feces and the skeletons of many small rodents. The staircase that winds around the outside of the Owlery is stone, and can be slippery.

Bordering the edges of Hogwarts grounds is the ever-terrifying Forbidden Forest. Many magical creatures, most of them highly dangerous, make their home here. Due to the dangers of the Forbidden Forest, for students it is just that – forbidden.

A highly aggressive magical willow tree, the Whomping Willow is not afraid to attack any humans that dare stray within whacking distance of its limbs. A secret passageway to the Shrieking Shack that can be found among its roots.
