His eyes are large, dark brown in color, and are framed with long black lashes. a small nose and full pink lips, his skin is a very pale peach, making him seem more British than Japanese, it does get a little darker during the summer months, and he has His hair is kept to his shoulders, and is very thin, with very little body to it. He tends to try and style it like his brother's. He looks like (to quote his "loving" Uncle Marcus) A pale comparison of Horatio. The boy does look nearly identical to his brother when he was younger, save for the paler skin tone, and softer features.
Clothing wise, he isn't picky, he wears what he has without complaint. He doesn't mind using his brother's old hand me down clothes, actually seeming to cherish the warn-out old garments.
Alliance: Mattie honestly doesn't have any problem with anyone, (unless they insult his "nii-sama", then, there's issues.) and doesn't care what a person's blood purity is, (illustrated by his choice to have Elliot Banks, a Muggleborn as a best friend.) Mattie however is far too weak willed to speak up against his families purist views.

Personality:
Loyal, devoted and doting. He follows his brothers ever command... actually he follows everyone's commands. People are constantly taking advantage of the boy who is far too meek to say no to anyone (within reason.) Mattie has never been all that self confident, truly believing he could never measure up to his big brother, who was the apple of their families eye from day one. Mattie grew up in his big brother's shadow, rarely noticed by any save for Horatio himself. The fact that the boy tends to be clumsy and forgetful doesn't help his sense of self worth any either. Mattie has a very sweet loving nature. He's a bit skittish around animals, especially dogs, who scare him. He also is shy around... well pretty much everyone. Four years in Hufflepuff, being the constant butt of the other houses jokes has done nothing to make him braver either. His only true happiness comes from his house mates, especially his best friends: Elliot Banks, a boy in his year, and Roy Bardock, a student from the year above him, who just happens to be the twin brother to Horatio's best friend, Ray Bardock. Mattie being so weak at spell casting, does poorly in all the classes that require lots of Spell Casting (Such classes tend to wear him out physically, and he's tired, and hungry afterwards.) On the other hand, any class that doesn't require a lot of magical effort, Mattie excels at. He's particularly talented at Potions, as that is the one class which requires absolutely no spell casting. He's actually grown quiet proud of his abilities. Mattie idolizes his big brother, and would be just like him if he could.
Mother: Alexis (formerly Teyaki Aiyuuki) Padmore (An employee of St. Mungo's Hospital, former Hufflepuff)
Father: Bryan Izuna Padmore (A member of Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, Former Ravenclaw)
Siblings: Horatio Futaro Padmore

A Grandfather who is forgetful of everything.
And his scary uncle Marcus.
Pet: Kara-sama- A Black Harlequin Toad with Purple markings. (Name literally: Lord Seashell. Don't ask.)
Hometown: Hampshire, England
Social Class: Rich
First Magic: The Hogwarts letter... Well that was more a miracle really... No over the years he did many small feats of magic, but they were all so tiny, that no one. (Not even Mattie.) Realized he was doing them...
Sorting: Mattie was a Hatstall, never had he been so embarrassed as when he sat there for over eight minutes, while the hat combed through his every thought and memory muttering things like interesting or oh dear or hmmm. Mattie made no move to speak, not wanting to interrupt it. Finally it made an affirmation, and called out to the whole school
HUFFLEPUFF!!
History:
Before Hogwarts:
The youngest child in his family, for the first eleven years of his life, everyone was sure Matthew was a Squib, the child never showed any sign of magical talent. Embarrassed, Mattie's parents ignored the child, focusing solely on his older brother Horatio. Mattie was often left with his grandfather, who was even less attentive than the child's parents, and his uncle Marcus, who treated the boy like something he'd scraped off the bottom of his shoe, and worked him like a house elf. The only person who ever gave him any form of positive attention was his brother Horatio.
When Mattie's Letter arrived on the day of his eleventh birthday, which everyone in the family was trying their darnedest to ignore. The young boy thought it was a cruel joke, and nearly threw the letter in the fire. But Marcus, ever the annoying one, seized the letter from the small boy and made such a commotion, accusing the child of burning other people's mail that it attracted the attention of the whole family.
When shy Mattie tried to insist the mail was his, Marcus read it aloud... and froze as did everyone else when they realized just what the letter was, and what it signified.
Marcus was irate, and began insisting that there must have been a mistake.
Mattie's parent's were both confused and embarrassed, and mortified to realize that the child they had always pushed away, and tried to deny was theirs had been magical all along.
Grandpa Guru was equally confused and cranky, and demanded to know where he was and what the hell was going on.
Horatio got annoyed with all of them, and took the letter, and his baby brother, and retreated out to the stables to read the letter to Mattie away from their idiotic relatives.
The following weeks were the most horrible, and embarrassing weeks of Mattie's young life, as his parents awkwardly tried to make up for never loving him, and attempted to get to know him. (They gave him his great uncle's beautiful Ebony wand, and attempted to buy him a pet as apology, (it didn't work out so well...)
The cats scratched him, the dogs all jumped at him and barked, the snakes frightened him, and he refused to go near the owls, and burst into tears after one particularly malevolent looking Great Horned Owl set its steely golden glare on the small boy.
Finally they gave up and just took him home...)
Mattie's Uncle Marcus redoubled his hatred and started threatening the boy with a terrifyingly painful death if he failed to be sorted into "The right house" (What house the "Right house" was he never did tell the terrified child.)
and his grandfather barred down, and refused to speak to anyone until they bought him a pony...
Mattie, took to hiding behind Horatio, following the older boy around likeRaya secound shadow...
Finally, the day to leave arrived, and Uncle Marcus oddly was the one to give Mattie a parting gift: A small black and Purple Harlequin Toad, with neither fang nor claw, that sat croaking contentedly in the boy's lap the whole trip, much to Mattie's great delight.
First Year:
Mattie was terrified his first night in the strange dorms and sat up all night trembling, and crying looking around the dark dorm room until one of the other boys, who had been equally restless, and roused by his soft sniffling, came over, offering to let him sleep with him. Exhausted, and too scared to stay alone, Mattie excepted, and went over to crawl in bed with his roommate. From that night on, Mattie looked to Elliot as his friend and protector, and the older boy, suffering from separation anxiety from being sorted into a different house than his twin, gladly took Mattie as an almost replacement for his absent sibling. The two became close friends, and later met and befriended a second year, Royston Bardock. The three friends hung out whenever possible, and so the year passed peacefully, until one day Mattie came along and witnessed his brother nearly kill another boy, and became even more shaken, when Horatio nearly threatened him, warning him to keep his mouth shut. Mattie was out of sorts for the rest of the year. His grades dropped, and he was distant at times even with Roy and Elliot. Christmas was awkward, and nerve wracking, as was Easter. Mattie finally pulled it together just in time to save his flagging grades and friendship.
Summer After First Year:
Mattie actively avoided his brother until Horatio forced his presence on him, and after a few weeks, Mattie realized his brother wasn't going to hurt him, and wasn't angry and calmed down. The rest of the summer was quiet, save for when Kara disappeared for a whole week and Marcus found a pile of dead flies on his pillow each night...
Second Year:
Mattie tried hard to ignore all the bad things his brother was doing, and instead focused on school work, his friends, and Quidditch. Classes were still really hard for him, and his teachers finally started to take notice of the boy's inability to cast spells well, and finally, his head of house took him aside and talked to him, discovering the boy was using a handed down wand. She arranged for Mattie to be given nothing but written work for the rest of the semester, and wrote to his parents, explaining that Mattie's wand wasn't working for him, and imploring them to take the boy to get a custom wand. And so, that Christmas, the day after he arrived home, the child was taken to Ollivander's (And scarred for life by the creepy old man.) and was matched with a new wand: Willow and Unicorn hair.
Upon returning to school, Mattie did notice an improvement in his spell casting, and for a while, his confidence built up, and he was able to do quiet well in his classes. Then, a bully approached him and teased the boy so mercilessly that all Mattie's fragile confidence fled, and the boy struggled with even the most simple of spells...
When Horatio later "punished" the bully, Mattie's great love and devotion to his brother returned full force...
Summer After Second Year:
Mattie once again lost track of Kara... and Marcus developed a strange rash... Kara returned soon after, croaking contented, with a smug gleam in his eyes whenever Marcus walked by scratching himself...
It was that summer that Horatio was given the title as Heir to the family. Mattie was happy, but when he finally worked up the courage to go and congratulate him, the child walked in just in time to witness Horatio murdering his cat. Traumatized, the boy left quickly, before Horatio could see him, get angry, and threaten him again. Mattie stayed quiet the rest of the summer, and pretended to be very busy with his summer homework...
Third Year
Still tense and distracted by what he witnessed over the summer, Mattie's third year started out rotten and grew progressively worse. While Arithmancy and Study of Ancient Runes were fascinating and engaging for the young teen, Muggle Studies threw him a curve ball early on, and no matter how much he read he just couldn't understand the workings of such things as a PC-ROM, or why anyone would want to buy Gnomes for their gardens. He also was still failing in his other classes, save potions, and then, he ruined his brother's friendship:
Distracted and anxious as usual, Mattie came out of a classroom on the third floor landing and was knocked over and sent rolling down the stairs, without ever knowing what happened. He awoke three days later with a broken wrist and concussion, and found out that it had been Ray who slammed into him, and that Horatio and Ray were now in the middle of a cold war over the incident, Ray loosing ground quickly.
Concerned, Mattie tried to remember the accident, but found he couldn't recall anything about what happened, and thus, he had no way of knowing weather or not Ray had really pushed him on purpose or not.
For the rest of the year Mattie was miserable and overly sensitive from stress, and more than once gave Roy a run for his money on the title of "Biggest Cry-baby". for months he tried everything to try and remember. Finally, while moping at home over Christmas Break, the boy happened to read about a Potion to help one recall blocked memories, desperate to find some way to set things right between the two older boys, Mattie spent the next few months gathering the ingredients, and brewing the potion. Finally, over Easter Holidays, he finished the potion, and then took it, and meditated for hours about the accident, until finally, the dam bust, and the memories cam flooding back:
Ray hadn't pushed him.
Ray had been rushing down the hall when Mattie had stepped out at the last minute, and unable to stop, had slammed into the boy.
Upon returning to school, Mattie tracked Ray down, now that he knew that the boy was really innocent of any ill will toward him. (Not that he'd ever really believed that Roy's brother would do such a thing.) and the two talked things out, sharing their memories of the incident, and confirming that neither felt it was anything more than a horrible accident.
The two became friends after that. Ray, still in exile, sought Mattie out to ask how Horatio was. Still concerned for the older boy, despite his cruel treatment, and continued refusal to talk things out.
Finally, things came to a head when Horatio cornered them, and threatened to hurt Ray, Mattie, still overly stressed and sensitive from the cat, and the accident, and the fight, and his abysmal grades, turned and took out all of his frustration on his brother, chewing Horatio out for throwing away his friendship with his best friend over a silly little accident. And furthermore, why did he get so worked up anyways, over a little brother he didn't even really like anyways. Upset, frustrated, exhausted, and mortified by what he'd just said to his hero, the boy had then fled and hid in his dorm room for the next few days, and was unable to look his brother in the face for weeks afterward.
Mattie eventually heard via Roy, that Ray and Horatio had made up, although they had nearly had another fight right afterward when Horatio threatened Ray's cat.
Cat.
Dead Cat.
And so Mattie was once again thoroughly miserable for the rest of the year, and just barely scraped by in his exams...
Summer After Third Year:
Mattie, worn out from all the stress from the previous school year, and the ever looming threat of failing his classes, and being expelled, came down with a very severe summer cold, and was laid up for nearly the whole summer. His parents making themselves complete nuisances trying to take care of the sick teenager. Finally, Horatio came back from where ever he'd ran off to, and drove them away, finally allowing Mattie some much needed rest to fight off the infection. Mattie got on the train, still feeling peaky, but putting on a friendly face, and muscling past his long held timidness in order to greet Roy and Ray's baby brother Jack.
Mattie was having a great time, and actually starting to think maybe things wouldn't be so bad this year.
Then Roy went off about some band he and his Muggle friends were making back in Glasgow, and Mattie saw Horatio's attention slipping.
Still it wasn't a bad thing until Mattie noticed the bug by Roy's head. And noticed that Horatio had noticed it too, and was reaching for his wand.
"Nii-sama-"
Before Mattie could tell Horatio to stop, the boy had shot a blasting hex at the bug.
Roy hyperventilated.
Jack was furious.
Ray smiled nervously, and then laughed.
And Mattie hid his face, and tried to keep from crying.
This was going to be a horrible, horrible year.
Fourth Year:
The Dragons petrified him.
The Lake task bored him.
and his brother's increased bad behavior, and his own lackluster academic performance are leading him toward a serious mental break down...
