(Durning- Lost in the Summer Haze)
Snape heard Lucius words at them he nodded lightly he looked at Lavinia, as he spoke "I will be right back Lavinia" With that he moved to fallow Lucius to see what he wished to speak of he had an idea on the matters or at least some of them any way. Once they got to where they where he spoke "So what is it you wish to speak of?" His robes & that of course had a spell on them to keep it keep & to keep it form picking up dirt, it was nice to be a wizard at times.
He watched Lucius more of habit, though he trusted the man after all he would not be here around the man, in such a way if he did not trust him to a better degree then he did others. How ever there trust had yet to be only tested other then the times they had really been at school & that was not the same, how ever he was sure it would last threw what ever.

Lucius led the way into his own private study on the second floor. After a while, they stood in front of a door at the end of the far East corridor. Mr.Malfoy tapped the end of his walking stick on the door to unlock it before opening. The room was his father’s, in fact, was passed down to his father by his grandfather and so on. It was magically enchanted so that anyone who weren’t allowed inside wouldn’t be able to enter, even if they use the unlocking charm.
Everything inside, just like the rest of his house, had the trait of old and ancient furniture. Here and there were some newer things added from the more recent generations but overall there was no doubt the room was old. On the left was a magnificent fireplace with the luxury lounges and a small wooden table at the front. The far end in the middle of the room was the place for a personal desk made of expensive oak wood where the owner used for paper work with a few books and papers neatly placed on top. The tall bookshelves and wine cupboard, also made of some kind of rare wood, stood align on their left. A large full body painting of a pale looking man with long gray hair and beard was hung on the large space above the beautiful fireplace. The man in the drawing was wearing clothing of the 10th century.
The Malfoy let his friend enter the room then closed the door behind them. Every sound from the outside immediately vanished. The room was once Abraxas’ place to scheme his plot to overthrow the Muggle-born Minister of magic in the past. So various protection from outsiders were used, including sound-proof barrier.
As Severus asked him, Lucius turned to the man. Mr.Malfoy didn’t want to be too forward though. What he had to say needed to wait until they were both settled down. “Don’t be hasty, Severus. Have a seat.” He motioned his friend to one of the sofas in front of the fireplace. “Would you like something to drink?” He asked with a rather friendly smile. He wondered how long had it been since he gave anyone beside his family that kind of smile because he felt a little odd.

Snape fallowed Lucius into his study, before they stopped at a door it took Lucius only a moment to unlock the door before they entered Snape allowed his eyes to take in the room, though it matched the rest of the Malfoy home, thought the most noticeable thing in the room at the time was the large full body painting, of the man wearing 10th century clothing he was sure the man was related to Lucius since he did not see the man having anyone else that was not. Snape did not miss the closing of the door, not such a threat though he was mindful of it, something that was just part of him since his time in school.
At hearing Lucius words he would do his best to do as asked, it was just not as much in his nature & more so the job he had taken well it normal did not leave open such extra time when it came to speaking of matters & that. As Lucius motioned to one of the sofas in front of the fireplace, he moved to take a seat in one as he heard Lucius second question "Butter beer or that is fine" Of course the drink hardly effected Snape, but fire whiskey it did normal give him the warming feeling so it helped when it was cold & such.
He would wait for Lucius to speak on whatever matter he had brought him here form, though he did not miss the father friendly smile that was given to him, something he was not sure how many others got or that he could do the same, though he was not as cold here as he was other places so it could happen.

Lucius nodded when he heard Severus’ reply. He thought his friend was not really a fan of highly alcoholic drinks. Wine was good to drink once in a while but he wondered if it would be good to offer Snape the wines in his room. They were very strong types of wine. He decided to serve the easier to drink one. However, he didn’t like drinking butterbeer so it weren’t in his cupboard. He did have many stored in the kitchen for his son though. So he, instead of offering his family’s home-made wine to guests as usual, hit the floor with his walking stick as he called in a demanding voice.
“Dobby!”
A small house elf appeared with a loud pop! It seemed terrified seeing him. It wasn’t a surprise at all. Lucius had a hobby of tormenting his house elves ever since he was young. He felt no pity for them, nor had he ever felt bad doing so. They were worthless creatures, and filthy. Why should he care for them? The only reason they were kept at the manor was because they were somewhat useful when he needed something to be done without extending his muscles, or when he needed entertainment.
Glaring coldly at the elf, he ordered in his normal icy tone. “Get two butterbeer.” All that were enough for the creature to understand what he wanted. Even if it didn’t, he wouldn’t mind. It just meant he would have a reason to torture the filthy servant more than he usually did.
After the elf stuttered something to confirm it had understood the order then Apparated away, Lucius turned back to his friend as he also sat down on the chair opposite of Snape’s. He didn’t want to just suddenly jumping into the main point of the conversation. A little talk first would be better. “How have you been, Severus?” He asked the Hogwarts’ teacher, smiling. His voice implied some real concern for his friend. It was, kind of, warmer, totally different from when he was talking before.

Of course if Lucius offered wine, Snape would of taken it though it was more it would not impose ether for the drink was simple. He heard Lucius as he called Dobby to him & then sent him away, of course Snape was not for house elf rights like some, but somewhat he thought of them better then being beat, however he did not have a house elf at the time so he could not say what he would or would not do. Thought at times he heard for Lucius, on how he teated the house elfs & when times he might come over when he was younger, he would see how Lucius treated the elfs, but he said nothing & he could not say he had not joined in at times when he came to actions against the house elfs, it just was not things he did now.
At Lucius words Snape saw the man take a seat across for him, in another chair "I have been well, thought at times the students do not make it greatly fun for me & at others I make them see reason for there mistakes in not paying attention in class, but all in all I would say that all is good. And your self Lucius?" Right now he had a feeling there was more, that Lucius wished to speak of it was just a feeling, but he would wait to see what it was after all he could be wrong, it could be just talk evens if it was away form the children.

Lucius gave Severus a sympathetic look. He knew how difficult it would be to keep those little kids in line. He was a prefect, after all. He wondered why the man chose to become a teacher at Hogwarts. When Snape graduated, Lucius said he would help him get a good job in the Ministry. However, the offer was turned down with not much of an explanation. He never asked why Severus applied for a job at Hogwarts for it was probably personal. He could not guess why either. Both of them were not much into children, even hated kids sometimes. And none of them liked the Hogwarts’ headmaster. Personally, Mr. Malfoy would rather kill himself than to be working under Dumbledore.
“Everything has been rather well for me.” He replied coolly. He didn’t recall if anything ever went realy bad throughout his life, beside the death of his parents. He was pretty close to the top of the world, being pretty close to the Minister and all. His influence was strong and no one dared to openly stand against him. And lucky for him, he did not have to handle any little kids since Draco could take care of himself perfectly. Though, he did have rough times, especially when he had to deal with Dumbledore... or his wife when she disagreed with him. But, overall, it had been good.
The house elf appeared again with a pop. Already used to that kind of sudden sound, Mr. Malfoy did not show any expression, nor did he turn his head to look. The elf tremblingly put the opened-bottles of cold Butterbeer on the small table in between them along with two glasses. It was a usual thing in the Malfoy’s that they use glasses to drink instead of the more simple-mannered ways. Dobby quickly disappeared out of sight to leave the privacy back to its master.
Giving one of the bottles to his friend, Lucius continued. “Hogwarts has been going down the hill lately. More and more… non-magical-parents children are accepted into the castle,” He avoided the word Mudbloods that he regularly used. He had learned that Severus did not like using the word as many pureblooded wizards did. “We can talk about it later. There’s a more important matter,” He paused to pour the drink into the glass. Butterbeer was probably would not be as good when drank from a glass instead of the bottle itself, but it would seem ungraceful for a Malfoy to do that. At least, not in their home.
“By the next school year, Draco will be old enough for engagement. And following family tradition, I am looking for a match for him.” Finally, he decided it was time he spilled the beans. “Your daughter, Lavinia, she is of age too, isn’t she? Have you counted anyone for her yet?” Of course, Mr. Malfoy had always thought Severus was a pureblood he expected his old friend to understand where he was getting at.

Snape heard Lucius words, he was glade things where going well for the man. He also was sure the man was not into children, how ever he could stand them it appeared better then the other man, just because he had a job with them.
He saw Dobby appear with drinks before disappearing as soon as he set the drinks down, he took the bottle as Lucius handed it to him, raising it lightly in cheers to him. He smirked lightly as he heard his other words, though like Lucius he used the glass as he heard Lucius speak on, he was not fully taken by surprise with the question, yet he almost tightened his grip on the glass, likely enough to shatter it.
Snape, was not sure how Lucius would take it if, he knew he was not a pureblood, how ever he would speak on that later on, it was best Lucius now before things went to far & more so he did not want Lavinia to be in the middle of something that could be a fight.
" I am honored that you would want Lavinia as a match to your son, she is like Draco coming of age, I cannot say I greatly thought of anyone for her yet...I suppose it deals with the want to make up for lost time & the idea to match her up with someone just was pushed form my mind" He took a drink of the beer as he went on "Of course,... even if I found someone for Lavinia.. Draco or another I would want her to want to merry them" He looked at Lucius as he spoke "I am not sure on your feelings on old costumes on, if one should have feelings for one another or not?
I of course would want the best for Lavinia" Yet decided to speak to Lucius on the matter of, his blood type so if Lucius had an interested he would know & it would not come out later" Snape signed lightly, taking a moment before he spoke "Lucius we have been friends for some time & I feel that there is something I must tell you, I am only a half blood wizard, I am not sure if you knew before yet I wanted you to know & have it come up later on, putting ether of are children in the middle"
Now he waited for Lucius words or actions, he could not say that Lucius would want him out of his house or a fight would not break out, not that he could not hold his own something he did well, yet it was the idea he could not really say what move Lucius would do, for he knew he was not found of those of less than pure bloods & he was not greatly found of half bloods & you could just wright out those that where none magical.
