One thing that Molly really liked about Hogwarts, was the massive windows that were all around the castle. There was something about curling up on a large window ledge with a good book or piece of homework when she couldn't go outside to do it that made her feel so much closer to nature and the world outside. There was a comfort in being so close to the outside world.
On this particular day, Molly sat on the sixth floor on one of the big windows with her homework in hand. She'd been writing for a while and finding comfort in the sound of the rain hitting off the glass. Silvy was curled up under her legs napping, which just added a further quiet in the peaceful and empty area of corridor.
All had been still until Silvy stirred, which pulled Molly's attention away from what she was doing. "Sil?" The little black cat leapt to the floor and let out a meow, and it was only then that Molly noticed another cat had come into view. "Leave it Silvy, you don't need a figh-" She watched as the two nuzzled heads and rubbed cirlces around each other. Molly raised an eyebrow, a small laugh escaping as she watched her beloved cat with another. "You little traitor. She shook her head and turned back to her books.

[/color][/b]” The girl said, rubbing the white fur under the cat's chin. The young cat twitched her ears for a moment, then climbed onto her owner's lap, and made herself at home on the girl's to-do list. Friday was one of the few things that could make Lorelei smile – even if she was smudging the ink and creasing the parchment.
With her quill, Lorelei tickled the tips of the cat's ears with her feather quill, teasing the feline. A smile playing on Lorelei's lips, she played with the cat, until the cat wrapped her paws around the long feather, pulled it into her mouth and pulled it free from her owner's grasp. Then the cat promptly jumped from the girl's lap and began to jog down the corridor. “Hey! Give that back!” Lorelei called, swinging her legs over the side of the window sill, and hurrying after her cat.
Lorelei rounded the corner, and found her quill, abandoned on the floor of the corridor. “Friday. . .” Lorelei groaned, sighing in irritation before she bent down and picked up the quill, tucking it safely into her robes. Straightening up, the blonde found her tri-coloured cat only a few feet in front of her, nuzzling another cat affectionately.
She was a few feet from the two cats, and a few feet from one of her year-mates, one of the girls that she'd met in first year. Lorelei might have still been friends with the girl, had Eira not thrown a fit when she'd found out that Lorelei had made her own friends at Hogwarts. She'd done it to keep Eira happy, and in the end the girl had still turned on her, although Lorelei was sure there was more behind it than she knew. Lorelei was almost sad that she hadn't really taken the chance to get to know anyone at Hogwarts, because she did have to admit that it was a lonely existence now that Eira had turned her back on her. But she pushed all regret away. She didn't need other people; she was independent! She was strong!
She nodded at the black cat that was currently nuzzling Friday. “That one yours?”

Not long after the second cat appeared a voice followed, and Molly stopped trying to write. She watched as a girl came into view and picked up something from the ground.
Molly knew her. Kind of. They'd sat together on the train in first year along with a few other girls, and they'd all got along great. Sitting with those girls had eased Molly's mind and she'd felt a lot more confident about starting school than she had done before, because she'd thought she'd made friends. It only lasted until Molly was made a Hufflepuff, and the rest Gryffindors, and since then it'd be lucky to say she'd spoken to any of those girls once since.
The Gryffindor noticed her there.
“That one yours?”
Molly nodded. "Silvy. Nice to know my cat has a better social life." It felt strange to be talking to Lorelei now after so many years of silence. Slightly awkward, perhaps. But then, Lorelei never really seemed to be with anyone, which had made Molly wonder whether she'd fallen out with the girls in her dorm, or something.
