Sirius heaved a sigh. This was going to take him all bloody day. How was he supposed to go shopping when he hadn't any idea where to start. His children were easy to buy for; it was all his other adopted children. While he was godfather to Harry, he couldn't ignore Remus' or Peter's children. The Marauders had been together since day one of Hogwarts and their children had grown up together.
Well, perhaps it was best to get started with those he knew he could buy for. If he were going to visit the school, he wanted to make it a treat for those he would be pestering. Okay, a treat for his loved ones. He knew Snape was teaching at Hogwarts and he might just have to teach his kids the best ways to get on Snivelus' bad side.
He chuckled at the thought, knowing that Professor McGonagall would tell him off for trying. However he could not be threatened with detention now! Not that it was ever a deterrent as much as she would have liked it to be. He knew he had been a little monster at school and she would much rather he not provoke the children into being the same.
Oh well! She would just have to manage with the second generation being pains in the arse. Now he had a good idea for all the kids. He wondered if any of the other parents would be visiting for due to the Tri-Wizard Tournament. If so, he would have to get them to agree to his little plan. At least James would be game for causing a little extra mayhem in those familiar halls. With a plan set, the dark haired man started toward the best shops for his reign of terror part two.

If someone had told Remus back in his schooldays, that he would have been where he was now then he would have probably laughed. He never thought in a million years he would get a job he had been longing for since his fifth year. But here he was an Auror, two children and a wonderful woman in his life. Sometimes it still felt like a dream to Remus, that everything had come out as successful as it had. But he wasn’t about to argue about it. Today, he was enjoying one of his rare days off from work however in this case it had been down to more personal issues.
Personal issues being that the full moon had come and gone for the month. Leaving Remus’s health in not so good condition like it did every month, however Remus didn’t complain about it. Having been bitten as a young child, Remus had lived most of his childhood and his adulthood living as a werewolf. His condition did bother him but he kept that part mainly to himself. After spending a few hours with his children, the werewolf decided he needed sometime to himself and a little fresh air. Even if he did feel exhausted as he stepped in to the familiar surroundings of Diagon Alley, he just wanted to get away for a few hours.
”Excuse me. Sorry, pardon me.”
Remus apologised softly as he pushed his way through a small crowd, who in turn made a light comment under their breath to him. Ignoring that comment, something else instead caught Remus’s attention in the distance. He looked over the figure briefly for a moment, one eyebrow rising as he did so. Sirius? Why was Sirius here? Brushing that thought away, he quickly made his way over towards his old friend before walking up behind him and giving him a light tap on the shoulder.

Sirius hadn't the slightest inkling that someone remotely friendly was wondering about Diagon Alley. He was much too lost in his own thoughts to be paying attention to those around him. He was able to navigate around others, but he paid no mind to who they were. He was quietly lamenting having the map taken by Filch. He didn't need to to navigate the castle, but it would have been useful in finding all the rugrats.
While considering all the possibilities of what he could teach the youngsters, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Blinking out of his thoughts, the Hit Wizard turned to look at who dare to disrupt him. He was startled to find a very friendly face behind him and it caused him to burst into a broad grin.
Well, look at what the wolf dragged in,
[/b] He chuckled, turning to face Remus fully. He took in the werewolf's appearance, raising a brow. He had almost forgotten that the full moon had just past. It always had caused Remus to look exhausted. Ah, Moony. I think you need a bit of a pick me up, hm?[/b]
Sirius had just the thing! Perhaps a drink or two and planning out some chaos. While it would be best if at least James were with them, they could certainly show the kids up at Hogwarts a thing or two. And with all the commotion of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, they had a whole new audience to impress and dazzle with their abilities to turn the castle upside down.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Remus chuckled at his old friends words, he was expecting something like that from Sirius. He watched as his friend turned to face him fully, whilst Remus slid his hands inside of his trouser pockets out of old habit. When he heard the next sentence fall from Sirius’s mouth, the werewolf had a feeling he knew where this was going. Smiling back at the other, he shot him a confused look as he watched Sirius raise an eyebrow but said nothing.
”Hello Padfoot. I wasn’t quite expecting to bump in to you here.”
He confessed in the same quiet tone, an evident of tiredness laced in as he spoke. Remus of course did his best to try and cover it up but he knew it was no use. A pick me up did sound like a good idea but then again he knew Sirius’s idea of a pick me up. Remus looked around in search of James but was surprised to not the see him anywhere. Why did he feel like he had missed out on something? What was Padfoot up too? Some old trick no doubt, that sounded like the Sirius he knew and grew up with.
”I’m more surprised not to see Prongs here either. Anyway, what are you doing here?”
The werewolf asked curiously as he looked over Sirius briefly before looking back up to his face. Well, he didn't seem to be up to anything but Remus wasn't completely stupid. When he felt a yawn threatening to escape him Remus slid a hand from his pocket and instead reached up to cover his mouth.
”S-sorry it’s been a long couple of days. I have an idea. Would you like a Butterbeer? My treat?”
Remus offered to his friend as he pointed with his thumb over one shoulder towards the Leaky Cauldron behind them.

Sirius gave a small nod as Remus admitted not having not expected him here. It was much more likely that they would run into each other at the Ministry rather than in Diagon Alley. It seemed almost silly that they both ended up here at the same time. After all, how often did they both get time off at the same time? They always managed to still see each other, but it was usually late in the day rather than right in the middle of it.
He gave a small shrug as Moony asked after Prongs. He's probably at practice. I think they have a match coming up soon,
[/b] He offered in explanation. Sometimes it was hard to get James to come out since he did have to pay attention to his schedule. While they had been at school it had been much easier to keep him up late; they were much younger then so they felt their bodies could handle such stress.
Now they were all feeling their years, some more than others. Remus had always had those few days each month of being run down however. The transformation had never been easy on him. He patted his friend's shoulder and nodded. I think a bit of fire whiskey for you, Rem,[/b] He said with a chuckle, taking a few steps to head toward the Leaky Cauldron as suggested.
However, there was something left unsaid. The teenager of years ago peeked out from a much older man's face. Sirius smirked at Remus in a way that said nothing but trouble. I was here to buy gifts for the children. I was going to go visit,[/b] He answered Moony's earlier question. The look clearly said that this visit was going to be less than innocent. While he wouldn't mind simply catching up with all the squirts and even his old teachers, plans had changed. Perhaps he could get all the others in on it and put a little fear into Hogwarts once more.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Ah that would explain it. I haven’t been able to catch up on the Quidditch matches scheduled lately I’m afraid. You know how it goes over in the Ministry, well at least we aren't ever without work.”
Remus chuckled softly at his own words before he followed behind his friend, his hand sliding back inside of his trouser pocket again. The pat on his shoulder gave the werewolf a reassuring feeling, which in return he gave Sirius a small smile. Soon enough he was heading towards the pub. Once at the door, he opened it for Padfoot and stepped inside. The pub wasn’t too crowded if anything it was about normal, just a few witches and wizards chatting whilst enjoying a drink.
"Gifts? What sort of gifts? I hope you weren't planning to do anything in front of McGonagall. You know what she’s like. Plus, giving the children ideas? Is that such a sensible idea?”
Remus asked casually as he glanced back over towards his friend, before rolling his eyes at the Firewhiskey comment. If anything all Remus needed was a good bed and pillow right now but he wasn't about to ruin his moment with his childhood friend. The werewolf still had a feeling that Sirius was up to something and the look he got next confirmed that.
”You’re up to something aren't you Padfoot? I know that look anywhere.”
Remus said as he pulled his wallet out from inside his trouser pocket with a soft sigh. What did he expect really? They all knew each other well, it felt like that anyway even after all these years.
”Would you like a Firewhiskey?”
A small smirk came to the werewolf’s lips as he said that, yes; even Remus had his own moments when he could not be the ‘mature one.’ Even he surprisingly sometimes liked to let go and just well be a teenager every once in a while.

Sirius gave a small nod, understanding why Remus might not be up on all of James' activities. The Ministry certainly kept them on their toes. Yes, cleaning up after the Aurors does keep me busy,
[/b] He commented offhandedly, knowing full well that his friend was an Auror. He tried his best to look innocent for a moment, fighting off the playful smirk. He could never pass up a chance to poke good-naturedly at those he loved most.
As the dark haired wizard stepped into the pub, he frowned a little. How could Remus dare to ask him if it was a good idea to put mischievous thoughts into children's heads? Of course it was a bad idea! Given that, how could he pass it up? Have you forgotten who my kids grew up with?[/b] He asked over his shoulder, giving Remus an incredulous look.
I do think McGonagall would be disappointed if I arrived and mayhem didn't ensue.[/b] Honestly, if the Head of Gryffindor knew that he planned on visiting, she would certainly be making preparations for his arrival. If she even caught a whisper that he was arriving with James, then school would be put on high alert, Filch readying to trail them everywhere they went. The Marauders were considered the best tricksters Hogwarts has ever seen for nothing. I'm surprised at you Moony. Disappointed, really. I thought you liked fun,[/b] Sirius said with a pout.
He looked over the other patrons, giving a small nod at the offer of fire whiskey. Maybe something so strong would give the werewolf the shot of interesting he seemed to have lost. Really, they had been the terror of Hogwarts for seven years. They had been interesting young adults once they left the school. He could only hope that they would continue being such notable figures in the wizarding community regardless of age.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Sirius had a point there. Remus hadn't thought of it like that. When the werewolf was met with the look his friend gave him, instantly Remus felt warmth in his cheeks. He cleared his throat lightly as he turned back to the bar and ordered their drinks. Money was exchanged and a few minutes later, Remus made his way over towards his old friend with two Firewhiskeys in hand. Moony wasn't really the biggest fan of the stuff but he felt that it might help a bit.
“I do like fun Padfoot. You know very well that I do, we just need to set an example for the children. Just because we walked around the school pulling pranks, doesn't mean we have to pass on our ideas.”
Remus explained as he handed the other his drink, the werewolf looked down to his one with a mild look of distaste. He chuckled softy at the pout, before reaching over and patting Sirius lightly on the shoulder. That was always nice to know really, that Sirius hadn't changed. But really Remus wouldn't have it any other way. Naturally.
The comment about the Aurors just caused the werewolf to continue laughing and shaking his head. Finally, Remus took a deep breath before tipping his head back and drinking down the shot. Instantly a burning sensation filled his throat, causing Remus’s eyes to water and for him to go in to a small coughing fit.
”Goodness me. I had forgotten how strong this stuff is. And you know what? Forget what I said earlier.”
Remus said as he brushed the comment away with one hand, he had been talking about the comment to do with the children. Maybe he should stop being so overprotective sometimes? Let his children have some fun for once in their lives.
“I think Minvera would expect it actually now that you mention it. Perhaps a pre-warning might be a sensible idea. Also, I would like to add that you signed up for the job my friend.”
He smirked playfully towards the other as he spoke, before looking over the shot glass in his hand carefully. Well, the drink had certainly woke him up a little even if in the process nearly caused him to have a full blown coughing fit. A witch beside them shot the werewolf an odd look as he wiped the tears from his eyes but she said nothing.
