Description: Hesta is one of those pretty/plain girls she's in no way beautiful, with her wide nose and mouth and large teeth. But at the same time not really ugly either. Her most striking features are her big, blue grey eyes, which can look green at times, and her nice straight (if with a bit of an over bite.) teeth. She also has very long wavy dark auburn hair, which she usually allows to hang loose unless she's studying or doing potions, in which case she'll pull it up in a messy bun to keep it out of her eyes.
In terms of clothing, Hesta is very girly, she likes dresses and skirts and absolutely adored the look of the dress robes the other girls wore to the Yule Ball. Since first entering the wizarding world three years ago, Hesta has slowly been phasing out all the Muggle clothing from her wardrobe, fully embracing her new Witch heritage. When not attending class, Hesta is usually seen wearing hand knit sweaters and long skirts, with danglly hoop earrings and beads and black lace ups.
Alliance: Hesta has no problems with anyone. Neither does she allow herself to dwell on the negetive veiws some people tend to take toward Muggleborns like herself. She tries to treat everyone fairly and reward cruelty with kindness and sympathy.
Strengths:
- Logical
- Mature
- Cool headed under preasure
Weaknesses:
- Tends to be reather drifty when she's thinking, blocking out others.
- can come off as condescending reather than sympathetic at times (She really doesn't mean to.)
- Too talkitive, doesn't know when to shut up.
Likes:
- Her family
- Figs
- Owls
-Cats
-Toads (They're such funny little things really.)
- Lavender Tea
- Strawberries
- Gardening (That's Muggle Gardening. Wizarding plants tend to be too volitile for her tastes.)

- Ursus Black (He is just the cutest thing in the world! And he's so intelligent too!)
- Faeries: Though they are vain, Hesta thinks they're beautiful. (though she's learned not to try and touch one.)
- Wizarding Chess: As a girl, she often played Muggle Chess with her father when he was home. The game brings up happy, bitter sweet memories, but she can't help but love the game all the more for its connection to her father.
- Knitting: Hesta's favorite pasttime besides Reading and Chess is Knitting, she learned from her mother's aunt when she was very young, and she's since gotten very good at it.
- Floating candles (its odd, its quirky, but she finds them adorable somehow, hovering there with their little flickering golden flames.)

- Be a Prefect come 5th year
- Be Head Girl come 7th year
- Marry Ursus Black
Secrets:
- She actually is quiet afraid of Ursus's brother Alician
- She didn't really want to be a witch at first, having read too many negetive Muggle stories about them. She has since completely changed her opinion (now its Muggles she's not so sure about.)
- She still really misses her father alot, and is rather jealous whan others speak about their fathers.
Personality: Hesta is a bubbly, cheerful, outgoing girl. She's very friendly, and warm and enjoys being around people. She tends to be far too talkitive at times (which is fine as long as she's with chatty people.) Hesta tries not to let things bother her, and to put on a strong face. But she can get depressed at times, especially around her birthday and Christmas. She's very sympathetic toward others, and is always willing to lend an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or to say a kind word, or give a hug when its needed. She's always been very expressive with her emotions, especially when she's happy, she tends to bounce around and get quiet hyper. She tends to get drowsy towards the end of the day, and usually will take a short nap after dinner, before starting in on her schoolwork. She loves tea, almost to an obsessive degree, and actually brought along her own kettle and mugs from home, and gets carepackages from home periodically with new tea. She writes her mother three times a week without fail, unless something comes up. She is usually not so punctual about getting to class and is often seen dashing through the halls to get there on time.

Before Hogwarts
Rohesta Marie Banks was born at exactly 2:45 in the afternoon on November 15th, two two Muggle parents, Miranda nee Sutton Banks, who was a hair dresser, and Dorian Banks who (as irony would have it.) Was a bank accountant. She also had a twin brother soon after, Elliot Nathanial, who arrived two hours, and fifteen minutes after her, at exactly 5 o'clock on the dot. (Thus displaying for the first time, his uncanny ability to always be punctual.)
Hesta like her brother, began exibiting strange behavior very early on, turning the lights on and off, making objects float, and at one point stopping her mother's favorite mug from crashing to the floor by freezing it in midair. Neither of her parents could understand what they were seeing. Though her father was convinced that it was a manifestation of telekenetic powers, and bought several books on the subject. Whatever it was, they knew their children were special, and where very proud of of both of them. Though they did try and keep the twins powers hidden from all but immediate family however.
At age four, a secound sibling, a baby girl, Alyssa was born. Hesta remarked for weeks that there was never a prettier baby and the world, and it was obvious that she loved her baby sister. (Although both Hesta and Elliot were still prone to bouts of jealousy when their parents lavished too much attention on the baby.)
Four the next five years they were the perfect, happy family. Until the day of Hesta and Elliot's ninth birthday...
Her father had gotten out of work early that day, and taken the family out to the cinima as a special treat for the twins birthday, they were just getting back in the car to drive to Nana's house for their party. When a man aproached her father from behind, demanding to speak to him, claiming to be a former client he had cheated out of money. Irritated, her father said that they would talk, but later, he had his family with him right now. He turned to open his door and get in the car, when the man pulled a gun from inside his jacket. Hesta's mother screamed and four deaftening shots rang out through the air. Hesta's father slowly sid down the door, and out of sight. A dark streak of blood smeared on the window in his wake. Stunned, the family just sat there, and the man, turned and fled down the street. Dorian Arthur Banks was pronounced dead when the EMTs arrived, he was only 33 years old... Hesta's devestated family was taken by her uncle Frank (Who arrived just moments after the police and EMTs.) to Hesta's Nana's house, where they stayed for several days, her poor mother too griefstriken to get out of bed. Elliot was angry, and confused, Hesta was lost, and shooken, and Alyssa at only five years old, not understanding what had happened, kept asking everyone why her daddy didn't come, and make mummy feel better...
Eventually, the family got back on their feet, moving in to live with their Nana, but Elliot stayed angry and distant, and their once happy mother rarely smiled. Hesta changed too, growing up, and taking on more resposibilties in the house, helping her mother, and Nana with cooking, and cleaning, and tending to Alyssa, who missed their father, and often fussed.
Then, early in the morning on November 15th, 1994, two people people arrived at the Bank's doorstep. Claiming to be representatives of a very special school, a school both Hesta and Elliot had apparently been excepted to, even though neither of the children ever remembered having even heard of it before, and Hesta believed she would have, after all, it did have such a peculier name, she imagined she wouldn't have forgotten it.
The school's name was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And the witch and wizard who had come to see her and her twin, (for that was what they were truly.) told them that, all the special powers they'd desplayed over the years, the ones their family had believed to be telekenesis, was magic!
Of course their's Nana hadn't believed a word, and kicked the two out wizarding folk, and nearly threw the acceptance letters they'd left behind for Hesta and Elliot. Elliot, though cautious, couldn't help but be intrigued.
"It would explain how we can do all this weird stuff..." he remarked, blithely one day, while lying in on his sister's bed, a few months after the witch and wizard's departure.
"You believe in magic?" Hesta asked curiously.
"I don't know... But I know you and I can can do things. Things that no one else in our family can do. Things that no one else we know can do, and this is the first real lead we've had." He replied, "Dad... He always wished someone would come, someone who would really understand us, someone who could help us learn how to control our powers... I think... maybe... maybe this might be what he was waiting for..."
After that Hesta's mind was made up, and, in secret, she used the phone number that the two people had left behind, in order to contact them for a second appointment. Her Nana wasn't home the second time they arrived, in early February of 1995, this time it was her uncle Frank, who had come over to babysit while their Nana was out with friends, and their mother was away taking classes. Bemused, but far less hostile than their Nana had been, Frank sat with Hesta, Elliot, Alyssa, and the two magical folk as they once again begain to explain abot the twins' powers, and about the school, and Wizards and Witches. It turned out there was a whole hidden Wizarding World. The news was both shocking and exciting for the young girl, who was eager to learn all she could about it. Frank was more cautious, and asked if they might wait to give their decision, and perhaps have another sit down, this time with his sister, the twins' mother present. The two Ministry of Magic workers agreed, and the meeting was wrapped up in a far friendlier mannor this time.
Hesta's Nana was furious at Frank when she over heard him speaking to Hesta's mother when she got home later that week about the wizard and witch and the school named Hogwarts. Frank endured the toungue lashing from the elderly woman, and tried to explain camly that he'd thought it a good idea to just hear them out. Marianne Sutton wouldn't be appeased, and she kicked the young man out, calling him every name in the book on his way. Miranda was far less sceptical or bemused, and instead was truely intrigued. The sparkle that had left her eyes after her husband's death, came back as she read over the acceptance letters, and listened to the children explain about what the two Ministry workers had told them about Hogwarts and the larger wizarding world. She agreed, much to the stuttering disbelief of their Nana, to meet with the wizarding people to discuss Hesta and Elliot's enrollment.
Hesta was on cloud nine from that moment on, and a fresh burst of excitement, and energy that had been missing from the small family for the last three years, remurged as they waited for the Minisry workers return. And return they did, this time bringing another wizard with them: A tall, elderly man, with a long white beard, a crooked nose, and laughing blue eyes, that sat behind small, half moon glasses. He introduced himself as Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledor, the current Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was a charming gentlemen, and soon had won over not only the twin's mother, but their Nana as well, with his calm congenial mannerism, and rational, straight forward manner of speech. Frank, Marianne, Miranda and Frank's wife Eliza all spoke privetly for a few moments, willing to believe now, but still nervous about sending the two young children off to a hidden school half a contenent away.
Eventually things were worked out, and the Ministry Officials ascorted the small family to Diagon Alley, where they were given money by their Nana to buy convert, and buy their things, and proptly lost Elliot for over two hours in the hustle before finally catching up to him in a pet shop talking to the owner about the merits of Owls, verses Cats or Toads, all his school supplies save the wand already stacked beside him.
After a harsh repremanding from all the adults, Elliot, (looking more and more defiant and surrly by the second,) fell into step behind
