Dumbledore is dead. Hogwarts has fallen. Voldemort has taken over the Ministry. Terror, panic and confusion have become a part of everyday life as the Second Wizarding War has taken the world by force. Day by day, people are faced with death and destruction, unsure of who they can trust and living in fear of when it will be their time. Muggleborns are being sent to Azkaban, students of Hogwarts are being tortured, and anyone who stands up to fight, or even just gets in the way, is killed on the spot.
There's very little hope in the world, but in the growing darkness, the Order of the Phoenix work in secret, helping when they can, saving lives, and protecting the students from the Dark Lord's wrath. A new group, the Dragon Riders, takes their fight to the Dark Lord himself, their aim to decimate the forces that he marches upon the land. Back at Hogwarts, Dumbledore’s Army is reforming under the noses of Headmaster Snape and the Carrows. In the back of everyone's minds, they all know that Voldemort will not stand for this, and this period of turmoil is merely the calm before the storm. There's a battle brewing, one the likes of which no one has ever seen before.
With so little certainty in the world, chaos has spread while Harry, Ron and Hermione hunt down the horcruxes, in the hopes to help bring Voldemort down. Each day they grow a little closer to their goal, having found and destroyed a couple of them so far, but Voldemort has caught on to their progress. He has somehow obtained the Resurrection Stone, using it, along with the Veil in the Death Chamber of the Department of Mysteries to resurrect three people close to Harry, Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black, and Alastor Moody, turning each one into a horcrux and locking them away. He kept their existence in the deepest and darkest parts of his mind, protected enough that even Harry cannot see them. With this new development, it seems like Voldermort has the upper hand, and may even win this war, bringing about the destruction of both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. If the existence of these new horcruxes stay hidden, if Harry cannot find them by the time the war reaches its climax, then the world may very well fall into the darkness the Dark Lord so desires. If that indeed comes to pass, will anyone rise up and fight to bring back the light?
